The programme is now live and registration is open. Held in the host city of Cape Town, South Africa from 1-7 September, the show consists of four key attendance streams:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>MIP Africa (2 \u2013 4 September 2024)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MIP Africa offers pre-scheduled one-to-one matchmaking that guarantees meetings between content creatives, producers, buyers and sellers to support programmes, sales and co-production partnerships. With an eye on African and global viewers, deals are made through a mix of networking events and various business opportunities. Delegates can expect keynotes, masterclasses and workshops, as well as one-to-one meetings between music publishers, music copyright holders and film and television producers. Offering a programme of prominent industry figures, emerging talent, and thought leaders at the intersection of fashion and entertainment, attendees will gain insights into trends, foster educational growth, and network with designers, brands, retailers, and other key stakeholders in the fashion ecosystem. The programme includes a UNESCO Trend Report, a session exploring the symbiosis between film characters and costume with Nigeria&#8217;s leading costume designer for film and television, Yolanda Okereke, discussions about sustainability in fashion and fashion shows featuring guest designers MASA MARA from Rwanda\/South Africa, Ghana&#8217;s APHIA SAKYI and Yolanda Okereke from Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cape Town International Animation Festival (2 \u2013 4 September)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>African animation has secured a place on the global stage and interest continues to grow in African stories and African creativity with animation studios becoming increasingly global and diverse. At this conference, the focus is on animation including pitch competitions, accelerator programmes, screenings, animation challenges, studio focuses and industry panels.<br \/>FAME Week Africa is packed with networking and showcase events kicking off on 1 September 2024 with Nollywood Night at the Rockefeller Hotel.
