South Africa’s film industry continues to thrive, attracting R2.52 billion (\u20ac132 million) in foreign investment from international productions between November 2023 and June 2024, according to UNESCO mapping studies. Nigeria’s Nollywood is also a powerhouse, producing approximately 2,500 films annually. And with the rapid rise of streaming platforms, content consumption across the continent has never been higher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lower production budgets and quicker turnaround times are reshaping the industry landscape \u2014 but one thing remains constant: everything starts with a great idea. And MIP Africa is where that idea can become reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
