LOVE, lies and betrayal will be the order of the day when Mzansi Magic\u2019s popular relationship drama series, It\u2019s Complicated, returns for a second season on Sunday, 9 October 2016 at 20:00.<\/p>\n

The explosive debut season entrenched itself in the TV-watching psyche so much that Mzansi held its collective breath with each episode to see what would unfold between Ipeleng and her long time on-off boyfriend Thatho, as well as the motley crew of friends and family in the form of Mandisa, Vumani, Thabang, Matli and Ntandokazi.<\/p>\n

Last season ended with Thato marrying Ntandokazi against dizzying odds, and a heartbroken Ipeleng throwing caution to the wind and straying from her good girl character. And the best part? The pregnancy bomb!<\/p>\n

M-Net\u2019s Head of Drama, Reneilwe Sema, says there will be plenty more where that came from, and viewers should ready themselves for crazy cliff-hangers one after the other.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you thought last season was terse, you\u2019re in for an even more intense emotional rollercoaster in Season 2,\u201d says Sema.<\/p>\n

The new season picks up just over four months after all the drama and truth bombs. This time, not only is Ipeleng\u2019s dogged determination to get the perfect life in the form of a marriage and children clouding her judgment, it also leads her to make a tragic error that costs her the very thing that she has always wanted.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Thato and Ntandokazi\u2019s already fragile relationship isn\u2019t made any less fraught by a wedding ring. Could a couple that was on the brink of a break-up so close to their wedding survive the challenges that they – and their extended family \u2013 keep heaping on them? Did they get married too soon? Did they do it for the right reasons? And will they see things through for better or for worse?<\/p>\n

\u201cThis season, the story will also delve into Mandisa\u2019s past. As Ipeleng\u2019s rock, she\u2019s hardly had the time to deal with her own skeletons, choosing instead to bury them deep. But, a shocking and horrifying secret will come out, cracking open Mandisa\u2019s seemingly solid foundation and threatening to blow her life into a million pieces.\u201d says Sema.<\/p>\n

The original core cast played by Fikile Mthwalo-Kani (Ipeleng), Siyabonga Radebe (Thato), Atandwa Kani (Vumani), Motlatsi Mafatshe (Thabang), Thishiwe Ziqubu (Ntandokazi) and Samela Tyelbooi (Matli) is joined by new members Lungile Radu (Phila), Masasa Mbangeni (Katlego), Austin Shandu (Nqobizitha) and Hlubi Mboya (Dr. Patience Moloi) who are sure to spice things up even more.<\/p>\n
