Showmax is bringing two films and three TV pilots to this week\u2019s kykNET Silwerskerm Festival, taking place in Camps Bay, Cape Town from Wednesday to Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Having produced the most awarded TV series for two Silwerskerm Awards in a row – Donkerbos<\/em> in 2023 and Koek<\/em> in 2024 – expectations are high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n showmax.com<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Khaki Fever<\/em> is undeniably the most talked about film in competition at this year\u2019s Silwerskerm, with nearly 3k comments on Rapport\u2019s Facebook page alone, before anyone had even seen the film.<\/p>\n\n\n\n From two-time SAFTA Best Film winner Brett Michael Innes, the 18SNL comedy follows a group of game rangers who set up a challenge to see who can have sex with the most tourists during a season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n SAFTA-nominated Top Billing<\/em> presenter Christopher Jaftha leads the cast as Daniel, opposite four 2025 Silwerskerm nominees: Anja Taljaard and Trix Vivier (both Juffrou X<\/em>), Liam Bosman (Een Keer Om Die Son<\/em>), and Ilse Klink (N\u00earens, Noord-Kaap).<\/em> Also look out for singer Abel Knobel, Francois Jacobs (aka Kaalgat Karel<\/em>) and Sean Brebnor (Getroud Met Rugby<\/em>) as rangers, as well as lions, giraffe, hyena, and a runaway French bulldog called Chardonnay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Fun fact: this Silwerskerm, Brett has his fingers in half of the six films in competition: in addition to Khaki Fever<\/em>, he wrote My F*k Marelize <\/em>and produced The Heart Is A Muscle<\/em>, which won the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury at the 2025 Berlin International Film Festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Watch<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nKHAKI FEVER<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
