The show, which is available to binge on DStv Stream, also won its eighth writing award in a row.&nbsp;<br \/><br \/><strong>Who was sixth time lucky? <\/strong><strong><br \/><\/strong>After being nominated five times as John Carter in<em> ER<\/em>, Noah Wyle was named Outstanding Lead Actor: Drama as Dr Michael &#8220;Robby&#8221; Robinavitch in <em>The Pitt<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wyle\u2019s tux was made by FIGS, a scrubwear brand, and Wyle ended his speech by dedicating his award to America\u2019s healthcare workers. \u201cTo anybody who\u2019s going on shift tonight or coming off shift tonight, thank you for being in that job. At the Creative Arts Emmys the previous weekend, <em>The Pitt<\/em> had won Outstanding Casting: Drama, with Shawn Hatosy also picking up Guest Actor: Drama as Dr. Jack Abbott.<br \/><br \/><strong>Did the Emmy speeches finally run on time?<\/strong><br \/>Comedian Nate Bargatze hosted this year\u2019s awards. In a novel attempt to keep the show running on time, he promised to donate $100 000 to the Boys and Girls Clubs of America \u2013 but qualified that the number would decrease every time someone\u2019s speech went over 45 seconds.<br \/><br \/>Needless to say, not even a good cause was enough to keep speeches short. Hannah Einbender handled it best after collecting Outstanding Supporting Actress for <em>Hacks. <\/em>When the first-time Emmy winner noticed the balance dropping again, she promised to pay the difference, ending her speech with, \u201cGo Birds, f*ck ICE, and free Palestine.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series: 77th Emmy Awards\" width=\"750\" height=\"422\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BX0hW91lAZs?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>While the money had inevitably disappeared by the end of the awards, Bargatze announced that CBS would donate $100 000 and he would personally add another $250 000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Who was the most predictable winner?<\/strong><br \/>Einbender\u2019s <em>Hacks <\/em>co-star Jean Smart won Outstanding Actress: Comedy award for her role as comedian Deborah Vance \u2013 her fourth win from four seasons of the show.<br \/><br \/>All four seasons are available to binge on Showmax, with S4 starting on M-Net at 10PM on Wednesdays from this week. At the Creative Arts Emmys the previous weekend, Julianne Nicholson had also won Outstanding Guest Actress: Comedy as Dance Mom.<br \/><br \/><strong>Who gave the best speech?<\/strong><br \/>Jeff Hiller was one of the night\u2019s biggest surprise winners, taking home Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy for the final season of <em>Somebody Somewhere<\/em>, which is available to binge on Showmax.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI feel like I\u2019m gonna cry because for the past 25 years I\u2019ve been like, \u2018World, I wanna be an actor\u2019 and the world\u2019s like, \u2018Maybe computers\u2019,\u201d Hiller said to laughter at the beginning of his acceptance speech. \u201cI just wanna say thank you to HBO for putting a show about sweaty, middle-aged people on the same network as the sexy teens of <em>Euphoria<\/em>.\u201d<br \/><br \/>He thanked <em>Somebody Somewhere<\/em>\u2019s writers, \u201cwho wrote a show about connecting and love in this time when compassion is seen as a weakness.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After thanking his husband, he ended by celebrating his co-star Bridgett Everett. \u201cYou\u2019ve changed my life and you told so many people to believe in themselves and they do.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Supporting Actor In A Comedy Series: 77th Emmy Awards\" width=\"750\" height=\"422\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/tlCot0WvUXg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Who gave the most emotional speech?<\/strong><br \/>Cristin Milioti won Outstanding Lead Actress: Limited Or Anthology Series as Sofia Falcone in <em>The Penguin, <\/em>which aired on M-Net and is now available to binge on Showmax.\u00a0<br \/><br \/>The first-time winner&#8217;s speech sped from tears to exuberant joy, beginning with her admitting she\u2019d written it on the back of notes she made in therapy \u2013 \u201cso don\u2019t look on the back.\u201d\u00a0<br \/><br \/>\u201cIt\u2019s very hard to make sense of being alive right now in this world and so I\u2019m deeply grateful for the bright spots,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd making this show with our incredible cast and our incredible crew and getting to inhabit this woman was a bright spot for me despite it being, like, very grisly.\u201d<br \/><br \/>Her shoutouts included her \u201cincredible family\u201d for \u201csupporting your strange kid and showing me movies that were very inappropriate for my age.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She ended by saying, \u201cI love you and I love acting so much,\u201d before screaming with joy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Lead Actress In A Limited Or Anthology Series Or Movie: 77th Emmy Awards\" width=\"750\" height=\"422\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/YmFSICokI2c?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Who was the biggest snub?<br \/><\/strong>Seventy-seven-year-old Kathy Bates had been the hot favourite to become the oldest ever Outstanding Actress: Drama winner for <em>Matlock<\/em> (which premiered on M-Net) but lost out to <em>Severance<\/em> star Britt Lower.\u00a0<br \/><br \/>Colin Farrell had also been the favourite to take home Outstanding Actor: Limited or Anthology Series for his unrecognisable turn in <em>The Penguin<\/em>, but lost out to Stephen Graham for <em>Adolescence<\/em>.<br \/><br \/><em>The Penguin<\/em> did better at the Creative Arts Emmys, where it won eight craft awards &#8211; the second most overall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Who had the boldest fashion look?&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apart from winning Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music at the Creative Arts Emmys the weekend before, <em>The White Lotus<\/em> was snubbed this year, despite having three of the Supporting Actor and four of the Supporting Actress nominees.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The show did win the red carpet at least, with four of the cast making <em>Vogue<\/em>\u2019s list of the best-dressed stars at the Emmys. K-pop star Lisa, who played Mook in Season 3, looked like she\u2019d stepped out of a fairytale in her pink Lever Couture gown, while Sam Nivola, who played Lochlan, brought a sense of fun to his Dior suit with a floral-printed waistcoat. Michelle Monaghan and Sarah Catherine Hook also stunned in Rabanne and Miu Miu respectively.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But arguably the boldest fashion move was from <em>Hacks<\/em> star Megan Stalter, who rocked jeans, a white t-shirt and a black bag that said, \u201cCease Fire!\u201d<br \/><br \/><strong>What about The Creative Arts Emmys?<\/strong><br \/>Additional winners to binge on Showmax include:<br \/>\u2022\u00a0<em>100 Foot Wave<\/em>: Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series, Outstanding Cinematography<br \/>\u2022\u00a0<em>The Righteous Gemstones:<\/em> Outstanding Stunt Coordination: Comedy<br \/>\u2022\u00a0<em>House of the Dragon<\/em> (launched same-time on M-Net): Outstanding Period or Fantasy\/Sci-Fi MakeUp (Non-Prosthetic)<br \/>\u2022\u00a0<em>The Last of Us<\/em> (launched same-time on M-Net): Outstanding Sound Editing<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additional winners that launched on DStv include:<br \/>\u2022&nbsp;<em>The Oscars<\/em> (M-Net): Outstanding Production Design for a Variety Special<br \/>\u2022&nbsp;<em>The Grammys<\/em> (S3): Outstanding Lighting Design\/Direction for a Variety Special<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Where can I watch the re-runs?<\/strong><br \/>E!
