Nathan Caine feels no pain in Novocaine<\/em>, this week\u2019s Sunday night movie on M-Net (DStv Channel 101) at 8PM on 30 November 2025. The action comedy is also streaming on Showmax from Monday, 1 December 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nate is a bank employee with CIPA \u2013 Congenital Insensitivity to Pain \u2013 caused by mutations in the NTRK1 gene. Far from being a superhero, Nate can\u2019t even risk solid food in case he gnaws off his own tongue. When bank robbers take his coworker Sherry hostage, Nate sets off to be a hero for the sake of love, turning his inability to feel pain into an unexpected strength in his fight to get her back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Nate, Jack Quaid (Hughie in The Boys<\/em>) was nominated for a Critics Choice Super Award for Best Actor in an Action Movie. Amber Midthunder (Prey<\/em>) co-stars as Sherry with Ray Nicholson (Smile 2<\/em>) as bank robber Simon Greely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
