Robert Downey Jr. returns as super rich playboy Tony Stark in the latest Iron Man, releasing 3 May in South Africa.<\/p>\n
The latest incarnation of the Marvel Comics superhero film moves away from the previous two Iron Man movies, adding a touch of darkness and inner-turmoil to the character of Tony Stark; he’s more vulnerable, has to shy away from his nonchalant antics, and dig deep to defeat his latest foe.<\/p>\n
The final battle is epic, with a tour-de-force of special effects, and a few surprising additions. It’s great to see Gweneth Paltrow gaining some toughness in this scene too.<\/p>\n
Several references are made to the previous movies in the Averngers line-up, including The Avengers. Although not a total must, it does help to have seen these in order to follow some of these plot points.<\/p>\n
Iron Man 3 provides some great escapism from our daily lives, impressing with the contants special effects. Go see it.<\/p>\n
