These spectacular evenings were filmed for television and packaged into a special 90-minute extravaganza which will be screened on several of the channels within the M-Net family this December.<\/p>\n<p>The M-Net 30th Birthday TV Special will premiere on M-Net 101 on Friday, 16 December at 17:00 and thereafter DStv customers can enjoy all of the festivities \u2013 and great music acts \u2013 on Mzansi Magic, kykNET, M-Net Family, Mzansi Wethu and kykNET &amp; Kie. (See broadcast times and dates for the different channels below).<\/p>\n<p>True to form, in a stunt that you would expect from Africa\u2019s pioneering television network, the show\u2019s host is internationally-acclaimed comedian Trevor Noah, who made his appearance in a quirky, unprecedented way \u2013 in the form of a hologram! In between Trevor\u2019s witty take on the ways in which M-Net changed the face of entertainment and giving the audience a trip down memory lane, viewers will be entertained by some splendid song and dance too. Among the evening\u2019s entertainers are songbird Lira, who co-hosted the show, the legendary Claire Johnston, Idols Season 12 winner Khaya Mthethwa, The Parlotones, The Voice SA winner Richard Stirton, Themba Ndaba, The Muses and Nigerian superstar 2face Idibia.<\/p>\n<p>As a special gift to all the magic makers who have contributed to M-Net\u2019s incredible success story &#8211; from stars and TV producers to its millions of viewers &#8211; M\u2013Net has also compiled an eBook filled with memories, magic moments and milestones.
