Who will be saved this week?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>#TeamLira\u2019s Tender Mavundla (35) from Port Shepstone and #TeamBobby\u2019s Josh Ansley (31) from Johannesburg tonight joined #TeamKahn\u2019s Fatman (40) and #TeamKaren\u2019s Samantha Leonard (24) in the safe group that are already through to the next round of The Voice SA Season 2, after their coaches Bobby van Jaarsveld and Lira selected them out of the 8 extraordinary performances in tonight\u2019s second Live Showstopper show at the Mosa\u00efek Teatro in Fairland, Johannesburg.<\/p>\n<p>And after last week\u2019s performances, The Voice SA fans voted to keep #TeamKahn\u2019s Craig Lucas (23) from Cape Town and #TeamKaren\u2019s PJ Pretorius (26) from Secunda in the competition, which means that sadly the show had to say goodbye to #TeamKahn\u2019s Freddy Lalendle (23) from Durban and Zee Gqamana (23) from Grahamstown, as well as #TeamKaren\u2019s Lindo Sithole (23) from Pietermaritzburg and Amanda Faku (23) from Port Elizabeth.<\/p>\n<p>Now it\u2019s up to the fans to vote which final two singers to keep in the show this week, using their unique voting numbers:<\/p>\n<p><strong>From #TeamLira:<\/strong><br \/>\nBubbles Mnomiya (23) from Durban 09<br \/>\nLuke Lovemore (23) from Cape Town 10<br \/>\nMarissa Petzer (22) from Stilfontein 11<\/p>\n<p><strong>And from: #TeamBobby:<\/strong><br \/>\nCaroline Brussow (32) from Bloemfontein 13<br \/>\nJohn James Janse van Rensburg (19) from Carletonville 14<br \/>\nMarco Basson (23) from Vanderbijlpark 16<\/p>\n<p>#TeamLira was up first tonight with Marissa Petzer (22) from Stilfontein rocking out the Aerosmith classic, \u201cPink\u201d. \u201cTo think this girl didn\u2019t make it through past the blind auditions last season!\u201d Karen marveled, and Kahn thought her rendition of the song was \u201csassy\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The effervescent Bubbles Mnomiya (23) from Durban went for the funk with Bruno Mars\u2019 \u201cThat\u2019s What I Like\u201d. \u201cYou\u2019re so versatile, you can do anything,\u201d Bobby noted, and Kahn said she was like the lyric from her song: \u201cstrawberry and champagne on ice\u201d! \u201cI\u2019m so, so proud of you!\u201d Coach Lira beamed.<\/p>\n<p>Lira\u2019s rocker, Capetonian Luke Lovemore (23), took the pace down a notch with the Lady Gaga ballad \u201cMillion Reasons\u201d. Karen said that Luke\u2019s is the kind of voice she likes, \u201cand you\u2019re such a heartthrob as well!\u201d she grinned as Luke\u2019s coach, Lira, dissolved into tears. \u201cYou don\u2019t know the amount of work that goes into this moment,\u201d she told the audience tearfully.<\/p>\n<p>Lira\u2019s oldest talent in the competition, Tender Mavundla (35) from Port Shepstone, brought out the big guns for her performance of the Tina Turner classic, \u201cProud Mary\u201d. \u201cIt was like all the different genres of music wrapped into one two-minute song,\u201d Kahn raved. \u201cYou have such a rebel heart, that\u2019s what I love about you,\u201d said an impressed Karen. \u201cIt was beautiful to watch that,\u201d said a happy Lira.<\/p>\n<p>#TeamBobby\u2019s turn on the stage was lead by Johannesburg musical theatre alum Josh Ansley (31), showing off his impressive range with the timeless anthem \u201cEye of the Tiger\u201d. Kahn thinks Josh\u2019s nostalgic quality is what makes people like him. \u201cYou are ready to take it to the next level,\u201d Lira told him, and Karen thought his voice is world class. \u201cNot many people can do that \u2013 not in South Africa, not in the world, what you just did,\u201d she said. \u201cYou are one of the best entertainers I\u2019ve ever seen in my life,\u201d his Coach, Bobby van Jaarsveld, praised.<\/p>\n<p>Matriculant John James Janse van Rensburg (19) from Carletonville brought some soul to the party with his rendition of Shawn Mendes\u2019 pop ballad \u201cTreat You Better\u201d. \u201cSo, so proud of you,\u201d Karen raved. Lira called him the South African Justin Bieber but Kahn thought he was better: \u201cYou actually sing on stage,\u201d he joked. Bobby told him it\u2019s time to let go of his self-doubt now. \u201cYou\u2019re going to go far,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Next up for #TeamBobby was the blonde lawyer and rugby-wife from Bloemfontein, Caroline Brussow (32), tackling Sia\u2019s \u201cElastic Heart\u201d. \u201cYou have powerful, roaring, strong vocal capability,\u201d said an impressed Lira. \u201cYou have an elastic voice!\u201d Karen exclaimed, and noted that Caroline is also the nicest person in the show. \u201cI don\u2019t think you\u2019re human,\u201d Kahn marveled.<\/p>\n<p>And finally Vanderbijlpark engineer Marco Basson (23) chose Ed Sheeran\u2019s pop standard \u201cCastle on the Hill\u201d for his first live performance. Kahn praised Marco\u2019s sincerity and Karen said she thought he was spectacular. \u201cYou\u2019re my favourite nerd!\u201d his Coach Bobby praised him.<\/p>\n<p>With Tender and Josh now also safe from this week\u2019s vote, it is up to the fans to decide which final two singers to save with their votes. Only one member of each team can remain \u2013 four singers must be sent home in next week\u2019s Showstopper episode.<\/p>\n<p>Voting for #TeamLira and #TeamBobby\u2019s\u2019s singers opened directly after the show at 19:00 tonight and will close on Tuesday, 30 May at 22:00. Fans can vote for their favourite singers via WeChat (free) and SMS (standard rates apply).
