A side-splitting candid camera comedy, <\/span>Schuks! Your Country Needs You<\/b><\/i><\/span> co-stars long-time Schuster collaborator Alfred \u2018Shorty\u2019 Ntombela, stage and screen comic icon Rob van Vuuren as well as newcomer Lar\u00e9 Birk and is due to hit cinemas nationwide on Friday 29 November 2013.<\/span><\/p>\n

Returning to his hidden camera formula for the first time since the box-office smash-hit <\/span>Schuks Tshabalala<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/a>, Schuster is sure that <\/span>Schuks! Your Country Needs You<\/b><\/i><\/span> will resonate with the South African audiences. \u201cI am especially excited to deliver some much-needed laughter to South African audiences,\u201d he says. \u201cWe\u2019re about as culturally diverse as a country can be, but we all share a common sense of humour – and if making people laugh means I need to get \u2018klapped\u2019 a few times, it\u2019s worth it!\u201d he says.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gray Hofmeyr helms the production as Director and co-writer for this 8th Schuster film. \u201cI am thrilled to be working with Leon and Andre again on <\/span>Schuks! Your Country Needs You<\/b><\/i><\/span>. Although audiences are familiar with the laugh-a-minute format of past prank-filled Schuster films, we can guarantee that this one has more, bigger and better pranks than we ever dared pull off before!\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Iconic South African Film Producer Andre Scholtz takes the helm of the production, having worked with Schuster on such legendary films as <\/span>You Must Be Joking!<\/b><\/i><\/span>, <\/span>Panic Mechanic<\/b><\/i><\/span>, <\/span>Sweet \u2018n Short<\/b><\/i><\/span> and <\/span>Oh Schuks…I\u2019m Gatvol<\/b><\/i><\/span>. Scholtz says that <\/span>Schuks! Your Country Needs You<\/b><\/i><\/span> sees Schuster returning to his roots as South Africa\u2019s foremost prankster and funny-guy. \u201cFamilies will be rolling in the aisles as Leon, Rob, Alfie and Lare (and their unsuspecting targets) find themselves in some challenging \u2013 and hilarious \u2013 situations,\u201d he says.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
