Henry Hugglemonster<\/b><\/i><\/span>, <\/i><\/span>Disney Junior <\/span>(DStv Channel 309)\u2019s <\/i><\/span>brand new original 3D animation for preschoolers, will premiere on the channel on Saturday 3 August at 08:35. The series follows the adventures of fun-loving, five-year-old Henry Hugglemonster, the middle child in a happy, close-knit monster family \u2013 The Hugglemonsters of Roarsville.<\/span><\/p>\n

Henry Hugglemonster<\/i><\/span> is a preschoolers\u2019 \u2018guide to life\u2019 monster-style. Each eleven minute episode transports preschoolers through the ups and downs of Henry\u2019s life as part of a loving, bustling monster family. Enthusiastic Henry talks directly to viewers, sharing his thoughts and feelings as well as the lessons he learns \u2013 from saving the monster kids\u2019 Halloween pi\u00f1ata to helping his sister, Summer, realise that her voice is lovely just the way it is!<\/span><\/p>\n

Henry\u2019s exuberant family are laid back, inventor, big brother Cobby<\/b>, loving parents Daddo <\/b>and Momma<\/b>, extrovert, slightly-older sister Summer<\/b>, baby brother Ivor <\/b>and Nan-Oh<\/b> and Grando<\/b> Hugglemonster. Not forgetting his best friend Denzel Dugglewug<\/b> and all the other species of monster families of Roarsville!<\/span><\/p>\n

Like all Disney Junior programming, Henry Hugglemonster<\/i> is guided by an established curriculum that nurtures key areas of child development. The series focuses on social and emotional themes and affirms simple, everyday life lessons and positive family and community relationships.<\/span><\/p>\n

Produced by twice Oscar nominated Brown Bag Films in Dublin, Ireland, the series was developed from children\u2019s book \u201c<\/span>I\u2019m a Happy Hugglewug\u201d<\/i><\/span> by Children\u2019s Laureate award-winner, Niamh Sharkey, published by Walker Books. The series is directed by <\/span>Emmy Award-winning Norton Virgien (<\/span>Rugrats, Doc McStuffins<\/i><\/span>); the lead writer is Sascha Paladino (<\/span>Wonder Pets, Ni-Hao Kai-Lan<\/i><\/span>); the producer is Gillian Higgins (<\/span>Doc McStuffins, Octonauts<\/i><\/span>)<\/span>. Dr Laura Brown <\/span>(Jungle Junction, Third and Bird) <\/i><\/span>served as educational consultant on the series.<\/span><\/p>\n
