Jada Pinkett Smith (Lisa Cooper), Queen Latifah (Sasha Franklin), Regina Hall (Ryan Pierce), and Tiffany Haddish (Dina) star in Girls Trip about sisterhood and re-kindled friendship.<\/p>\n

During their trip, what comes to light is each woman\u2019s personal battles. Ryan is going through a hard time, Lisa is a devoted, single mum who needs some \u2018me time\u2019, Sasha is down on her luck, but Dina brings the laughs. There is plenty of eye candy too, with Larenz Tate (TV\u2019s Power), Mike Colter (Marvel\u2019s Luke Cage), and Kofi Siriboe (TV\u2019s Queen Sugar).<\/p>\n

Throughout the film, wild sides are rediscovered, and there\u2019s enough dancing in neon wigs, drinking 100-year-old Absinthe, hallucinating, brawling, and romancing to keep you entertained. But the journey is not all laughs, and the strength of their sisterly bond and protective nature brings a relatable and heart-warming feel to a film, so have plenty of tissues on hand and wear water-proof mascara.<\/p>\n

The film is directed by Malcolm D. Lee, best known for The Best Man Holiday (2013) releases nationally at Ster-Kinekor cinemas on Friday, 4 August. The running time is 90 minutes and the classification is PG16<\/p>\n
