Nu Metro 4DX, Xtreme and VIP cinemas under one roof at Cornubia Mall<\/strong><\/p>\n

Movies will be showcased in spectacular fashion and superior luxury through five world-class experiences with Nu Metro Cinemas\u2019 brand new 8-screen cinema complex at Cornubia Mall in Umhlanga Rocks, on the scenic North Coast of KwaZulu-Natal.<\/p>\n

This ground-breaking new multi-format cineplex opens to public on Thursday, 28 September 2017 \u2013 featuring multi-sensory 4DX, fully-immersive Xtreme and ultra-luxurious VIP theatre formats, regular 2D and 3D cinemas, as well as a VIP lounge and in-cinema dining menu.<\/p>\n

To celebrate this momentous occasion, Nu Metro Cornubia Mall will be hosting a Free Movie Day on Friday, 29 September 2017 from 12:00 until 20:00. Movie fans will get an opportunity to see their favourite movies in Xtreme, VIP or 2D\/3D for free. More details and specific movie titles will be announced closer to the time.<\/p>\n

It is the first ever cinema complex for Nu Metro to feature all five experiences (exclusive to Nu Metro) under one roof, in a cutting-edge new movie theatre space \u2013 on par with the best in international standards. Nu Metro Cornubia will be Umhlanga\u2019s premier entertainment destination.<\/p>\n

Nu Metro Cornubia Mall in KZN will house the 6th 4DX cinema in Africa \u2013 following Nu Metro\u2019s rapid expansion of this revolutionary cinema format in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and Pretoria over the past two years. KZN will now have two 4DX cinemas \u2013 with Nu Metro The Pavilion having joined the 4DX family last year with resounding success.<\/p>\n

4DX features full-length movies in live action. This is multi-sensory cinema in its truest form: environmental effects (including moving seats, wind, water, scents, lightning and fog) synchronised with the action on-screen, showcasing the world\u2019s top blockbusters in a format which makes viewers literally a part of the movie \u2013 only at Nu Metro.<\/p>\n

The Xtreme cinema at Nu Metro Cornubia Mall will also be the 6th of these fully immersive cinema formats in South Africa \u2013 simply summed up as \u201cBig Screens, Big Sound, Best Digital Quality\u201d.<\/p>\n

Xtreme features Premium Large Format-screens with the latest cinema audio systems at the upper end of quality, moving beyond the confines of \u201cstereo\u201d or \u201csurround\u201d sound. Dolby Atmos delivers full all-around sound, including overhead speakers; sound objects can literally be moved around in 3D space. The best in sound is combined with the crispest, clearest RealD projection systems along with 4K Ultra High Definition visual quality for Xtreme cinemas.<\/p>\n

Nu Metro Cornubia Mall will have two VIP cinemas. VIP upgrades the Nu Metro movie experience to first-class, with luxurious leather – recliner seating, a VIP lounge and an \u00e0 la carte menu prepared in Nu Metro\u2019s own kitchen by its VIP chef. VIP is the cinema experience of choice for discerning moviegoers who enjoy a cut above the regular cinema fare, with intimate in-cinema dining and a range of freshly prepared meals, hot and cold drinks. The VIP lounge also doubles up as an event venue, and will be available for hire for corporate and private functions.<\/p>\n
