{"id":5263,"date":"2017-10-10T18:58:42","date_gmt":"2017-10-10T16:58:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.samdb.co.za\/blogs\/?p=5263"},"modified":"2017-10-10T18:58:42","modified_gmt":"2017-10-10T16:58:42","slug":"cape-town-film-market-expo-and-industry-events","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.samdb.co.za\/blogs\/blog\/2017\/10\/10\/cape-town-film-market-expo-and-industry-events\/","title":{"rendered":"Cape Town Film Market Expo And Industry Events"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Cape Town International Film Market &amp; Festival, taking place from October 12th \u2013 21st 2017 at the V &amp; A Waterfront, includes a full series of industry events such Master Classes, workshops, \u00a0panel discussions and pitching sessions, starting on the 15th of October.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, there will be a Market Expo, taking place from October 18th \u2013 21st with FREE ADMISSION, at the Cruise Terminal at the V &amp; A Waterfront.<\/p>\n<p>A unique business focused event, The Cape Town Film Market Expo will see over 2 dozen stands featuring local and international industry support services.<\/p>\n<p>Exhibitors include Feenix Aviation, Diversity Culture Time, The Film &amp; \u00a0Publication \u00a0Board, \u00a0The Beijing International Film Academy, The Gauteng \u00a0Film Commission, Photo Hire, Value Truck Rental, Spartan Truck Hire, The Dar Journalism Academy, The Namibia Film Commission, and The City of Cape Town amongst others.<\/p>\n<p>ALL film industry and related service providers are invited to visit and make use of this valuable networking opportunity with FREE ENTRY daily from 10am \u2013 6pm.<\/p>\n<p>From the 15th of October through the 21st of October, the CTIFM&amp;F will also be presenting industry focused events at various venues at the V &amp; A Waterfront. These sessions include top local industry professionals including: well respected producer and director Maynard Kraak, comedian and director, Kagiso Lediga, Glen Giles of Sea Monster Entertainment, editor of The Call Sheet Katie Reynolds Da-Silva, editor Sakkie Berg of Die Antwoord and Wonderboy for President, Mike Auret from Spier Films, musician Majozi, \u00a0and many more.<\/p>\n<p>The CTIFM&amp;F has also been honoured to have secured the attendance of some international experts from around the world who will be in Cape Town to share their expertise and best practice.
