The wait is finally over! South African gaming fans of all ages will finally get to welcome Disney Interactive\u2019s launch of\u00a0Disney Infinity<\/i><\/b>\u00a0across the country today, 23 August 2013. The release is being celebrated the world over, with the White Cliffs of Dover* and London being lit up this week as Buzz, The Lone Ranger, Sulley and other iconic Disney and Pixar characters took part in the\u00a0Disney Infinity Digital Parade<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Disney\u2019s largest and most ambitious gaming initiative to date,\u00a0Disney Infinity<\/a>\u00a0<\/i><\/b>will be made available for the Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PlayStation\u00ae<\/sup>3 system, WiiU\u2122 system, Wii\u2122<\/sup>\u00a0system and Nintendo 3DS\u2122 hand-held system. The starter pack features the game software, the Infinity\u00a0<\/a>Base, three character figures and\u00a0Play Sets<\/a>\u00a0inspired by the worlds of\u00a0The Incredibles<\/i><\/b>,\u00a0Monsters University<\/i><\/b>\u00a0andPirates of the Caribbean<\/i><\/b>, one Power Disc pack, a trading card with a web code and countless hours of creative play in the groundbreaking\u00a0Toy Box mode<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cDisney Infinity<\/i><\/b>\u00a0allows players the creative freedom to bring to life original adventures that are only limited by their own imaginations,\u201d\u00a0said John Pleasants, co-president, Disney Interactive. \u201cWe are excited to see how our Guests will combine Disney and Pixar characters to create all new stories that they can share with friends and family across gaming systems.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a way that only Disney can, each\u00a0Disney Infinity<\/i><\/b>\u00a0character figure will come to life and play together in a virtual \u201cToy Box,\u201d where they can build and customize their own unique virtual worlds using their favorite characters, vehicles, settings and more. The game also includes\u00a0 story-driven experiences, called \u201cPlay Sets,\u201d which allow players to solve challenging puzzles, battle enemies and explore iconic locations from famous Disney properties.<\/p>\n

\"Disney<\/a>Disney Infinity<\/i><\/b>\u00a0is available now on Xbox 360, PlayStation\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a03, Wii, Wii\u00a0<\/sup>U and Nintendo 3DS. The\u00a0Disney Infinity<\/i><\/b>\u00a0starter pack carries a suggested retail price of R799.99 and all versions are rated “E10+” by the ESRB.\u00a0The Lone Ranger<\/i><\/b>\u00a0andCars<\/i><\/b>\u00a0<\/i>Play Sets\u00a0<\/i>are available separately for a suggested retail price of R349.99.<\/p>\n
