The film highlights the psychological plight of children who are exposed to domestic violence.<\/p>\n<p>Shot in Kylemore, a small rural community outside of Stellenbosch, this 12minute film tells the story of Minesh (6), played by Tristan De La Cruz. When Minesh sees his father assaulting his mother, he is shocked, afraid and runs away.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.samdb.co.za\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/mineshshortfilm.jpeg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-601\" alt=\"Minesh\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.samdb.co.za\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/mineshshortfilm.jpeg?resize=200%2C113\" width=\"200\" height=\"113\" \/><\/a>MINESH is a South African\u2010German\u2010Danish co\u2010production, with Producers, Karl Baumgartner and Thanassis Karathanos of Pallas Film, (Germany), Peter Aalb\u00e6k Jensen of Zentropa Entertainment, (Denmark) and Shalin Sirkar of Chalia Films, (South Africa).<\/p>\n<p>Shalin Sirkar, formerly of Pietermaritzburg, South Africa completed a BA in Psychology and Legal Studies at the University of Kwa\u2010Zulu Natal and a BA(Hons) in Philosophy at the University of Cape Town before working as a production assistant and Producer in the local film industry.
