Yaaba won the FIPRESCI Critics\u2019 Prize and a Special Mention from the Ecumenical Jury \u00a0at the Cannes Film Festival, among other accolades.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Yaaba\" width=\"750\" height=\"563\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/z2swWIqEA3s?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Other career highlights included 1990\u2019s Tilai (The Law), about a man who returns to his village to discover his father has married the woman he loves, and Samba Traore, about a thief who returns to his village.
