It was the dream of many to step into the glamorous heels of Project Runway SA\u2019s host, but the reality of only one.<\/p>\n

Mzansi Magic & Ndalo Pictures in association with 4th STREET Wines and their production partners Rapid Blue are proud to announce the woman who will take centre stage in South Africa\u2019s first local version of the hit series\u2026<\/p>\n

The gorgeous, sassy and vibrant Lerato Kganyago steps into the role of the host for Project Runway SA.<\/p>\n

Fearlessly high on trend, Kganyago is the go-getting former beauty queen, television talk show host, presenter, DJ, entrepreneur and actress who scooped this year\u2019s Safta for Best TV Presenter and stole the hearts of everyone at Project Runway SA.<\/p>\n

From walking the catwalk to covering fashion and entertainment, Kganyago looks back at her career and says Project Runway SA has arrived at the perfect time for her.<\/p>\n

Kganyago says \u201cIt feels as though it\u2019s the perfect time for me to percolate my previous experience and expertise into a brand new vehicle. I\u2019m looking forward to instilling that knowledge in the contestants as they embark on this exciting journey and to being part of the trailblazing production that\u2019s giving emerging design talent the time to shine. There is something gratifying about helping uncover the new fashion stars of tomorrow, and giving them the platform to show South Africa what they\u2019re made of!\u201d<\/p>\n

As Project Runway SA\u2019s host, Kganyago will be leading South African audiences through the adventures, dramas and stories as they unfold onscreen; she\u2019s the one who will be heading Noni Gasa and Rahim Rawjee as the panel of expert judges; and while she\u2019s the one who will be eliminating contestants at the end of each episode, she\u2019s also the one who will be nurturing their talent alongside Project Runway SA\u2019s mentor Gert-Johan Coetzee.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am going to be encouraging the designers to cut out the noise and to follow their inner voice\u201d, says Kganyago.<\/p>\n

Whether she\u2019s in the boardroom or on stage in power suits, ball gowns, or a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, Kganyago has always seen fashion as a canvas for the people.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe live in a very visual time, and the clothes we choose to wear \u2013 and how we put them together – become a billboard of who we really are.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ndalo Pictures Founder and CEO Khanyi Dhlomo says, \u201cLerato is bold, witty, sharp and her uninhibited spontaneity is thoroughly entertaining. She will keep both the contestants and viewers highly engaged.\u201d<\/p>\n

With Noni Gasa and Rahim Rawjee in the judges\u2019 seats, Gert-Johan Coetzee fully engaged in the mentoring, and the captivating Lerato Kganyago leading it all \u2026 the Project Runway SA stage is almost set.<\/p>\n
