Effervescent \u201cbesties\u201d Minnie and Tee will have to be at their sizzling best if they hope to charm celebrity judges David Higgs and J\u2019Something \u2013 and their fellow competitors \u2013 at the Instant Restaurant they have set up at their home in this week\u2019s edition of My Kitchen Rules South Africa.<\/p>\n
“From what we have seen about the pair around the dinner table at the show\u2019s first three episodes, this week\u2019s action in the kitchen can only make for fascinating fare,\u201d says M-Net\u2019s Head of Publicity Lani Lombard. \u201cThey\u2019re born entertainers, but will their cooking skills match their big personalities?\u201d<\/p>\n
Minnie and Tee share a passion for traditional African cuisine, and the menu they have in mind is aimed at winning hearts and tickling taste buds in equal measure.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want our guests to feel our love,\u201d says Minnie, and explains that the food they\u2019re going to dish up reflects who they are. \u201cTechnically, we\u2019re going to give them \u2018us\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
Minnie and Tee met at another reality TV show audition and immediately became BFFs. The soul sisters love eating as much as they love cooking and with their Instant Restaurant they want to show the world that it is possible to modernise traditional cuisine without diminishing the African experience.<\/p>\n
To date, they have not been afraid to speak their minds about their competitors\u2019 efforts, so they cannot expect any favours in return.\u00a0The pair admits that presentation is not their strongest suit \u2013 and hope they can compensate with a dish that pleases the palate and warms the heart.<\/p>\n
So, will they avoid finishing at the bottom of the leader board \u2013 the recipe for an early exit?<\/p>\n
