Because every 27 years evil revisits the town of Derry, Maine, \u201cIT CHAPTER TWO\u201d brings the characters\u2014who\u2019ve long since gone their separate ways\u2014back together as adults, nearly three decades after the events of the first film.\u00a0 Bill Skarsg\u00e5rd returns in the seminal role of Pennywise.\u00a0 James McAvoy (\u201cSplit<\/a>,\u201d upcoming \u201cGlass\u201d) stars as Bill, Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain (\u201cZero Dark Thirty,\u201d \u201cMama\u201d) as Beverly, Bill Hader (HBO\u2019s \u201cBarry,\u201d \u201cThe Skeleton Twins\u201d) as Richie, Isaiah Mustafa (TV\u2019s \u201cShadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments\u201d) as Mike, Jay Ryan (TV\u2019s \u201cMary Kills People\u201d) as Ben, James Ransone (HBO\u2019s \u201cThe Wire\u201d) as Eddie, and Andy Bean (\u201cAllegiant,\u201d Starz\u2019 \u201cPower\u201d) as Stanley.<\/p>\n

Reprising their roles as the original members of the Losers Club are Jaeden Lieberher as Bill, Wyatt Oleff as Stanley, Sophia Lillis as Beverly, Finn Wolfhard as Richie, Jeremy Ray Taylor as Ben, Chosen Jacobs as Mike, and Jack Dylan Grazer as Eddie.<\/p>\n

Muschietti directs from a screenplay by Gary Dauberman (\u201cIT,\u201d \u201cAnnabelle: Creation<\/a>\u201d) based on the novel by Stephen King.\u00a0 Barbara Muschietti, Dan Lin and Roy Lee are producing the film.\u00a0 Marty Ewing, Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg are the executive producers.<\/p>\n

The behind-the-scenes creative team includes director of photography Checco Varese (\u201cThe 33\u201d), Oscar-winning production designer Paul D. Austerberry (\u201cThe Shape of Water\u201d), editor Jason Ballantine (\u201cIT,\u201d \u201cMad Max: Fury Road<\/a>\u201d), and Oscar-nominated costume designer Luis Sequeira (\u201cThe Shape of Water<\/a>,\u201d \u201cMama\u201d).<\/p>\n

Production will take place in Toronto, Canada.<\/p>\n

Set to open in theaters beginning September 6, 2019, \u201cIT CHAPTER TWO\u201d is a New Line Cinema production.\u00a0 It will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.<\/p>\n
