The Meisner Studio Joburg seeks professional actors to audition for a multi-media theatre production coming up in April and May 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The chosen cast will be required to engage in the process of the Meisner technique as part of the rehearsal phase leading up to performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rehearsal process includes an Intensive Meisner workshop in which the actor will further develop their acting skill under the premise of the Meisner technique which is \u201cLiving Truthfully Under Imaginary Circumstances\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are looking for the following characters:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dianne<\/strong>– Age 30 to 40. She is single, independent, cynical and secretive. She has an 8 year old daughter and she is very protective (Caucasian).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Julie<\/strong>– 20 to 30. Young. Love-struck naive millennial who has just discovered her sexuality (Caucasian).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mandi<\/strong>– 30 to 40. She is creative, artistic with a slight contradictory sophistication. She has the propensity to have a \u201ccup half full attitude\u201d (any ethnicity).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fiona<\/strong>– 40 to 50. She is charming, academic, she is a psychologist who has a fascination for the human condition, yet she is emotionally disengaged (any ethnicity).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Frank<\/strong>– 40 to 50. He is charming, a man with an insatiable appetite for woman yet appears to be an exclusive romantic (any ethnicity).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Charlie<\/strong>– 40 to 50. He is an investigator. He is over worked but passionate about what he does. He is a single dad who has great dreams for his family (any ethnicity).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
