Chang Chen (\u201cCrouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon,\u201d \u201cThe Grandmaster\u201d) is in discussions to join the cast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A mythic and emotionally charged hero\u2019s journey, \u201cDune\u201d tells the story of Paul Atreides, a brilliant and gifted young man born into a great destiny beyond his understanding, who must travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure the future of his family and his people. As malevolent forces explode into conflict over the planet\u2019s exclusive supply of the most precious resource in existence\u2014a commodity capable of unlocking humanity\u2019s greatest potential\u2014only those who can conquer their fear will survive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Villeneuve is directing \u201cDune\u201d from a screenplay he co-wrote with Eric Roth and Jon Spaihts based on Herbert\u2019s novel.
