1956 – France. A priest is murdered. An evil is spreading. The sequel to the worldwide smash hit follows Sister Irene as she once again comes face-to-face with Valak, the demon nun.  Taissa Farmiga (“The Nun,” “The Gilded Age”) returns as Sister Irene, joined again by Jonas Bloquet (“Tirailleurs,” “The Nun”) as Maurice, along with Storm Reid (“Missing,” “The Suicide Squad”) as Sister Debra, Anna Popplewell (“Reign,” “The Chronicles of Narnia” trilogy) as Kate and Bonnie Aarons (reprising her role from “The Nun”), surrounded by an ensemble cast of international talent—Katelyn Rose Downey (“The Princess”) as Sophie, Suzanne Bertish (“Dead Ringers”) as Madame Laurent, Léontine D’Oncieu (“Two Tickets to Greece”) as Simone, Anouk Darwin Homewood (“The Flood”) as Celeste and Gael Raës (“Simone: Woman of the Century”) as Cedric.

Michael Chaves (“The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It”) directs, from a screenplay by Ian Goldberg & Richard Naing (“Eli,” “The Autopsy of Jane Doe”) and Akela Cooper (“M3GAN,” “Malignant”), with a story by Cooper, based on characters created by James Wan & Gary Dauberman.

Joining Chaves behind the camera are director of photography Tristan Nyby (“The Dark and the Wicked,” “The Maiden”), production designer Stéphane Cressend (“Les Vedettes,” “The French Dispatch”), editor Gregory Plotkin (2022’s “Scream,” “Get Out”) and costume designer Agnès Béziers (“Oxygen,” “The Breitner Commando”), with composer Marco Beltrami (2022’s “Scream,” ”Venom: Let There Be Carnage”) and music supervisor Ian Broucek (“The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It,” “Warriors”).

STÉPHANE CRESSEND (Production Designer) grew up in Paris east suburbs. After a degree in maths applied social sciences (statistics), he became deeply involved in the alternative music scene of the late ‘80s. Cressend worked as a musician, created a record label—importing, distributing and producing, as well as setting up tours and gigs in France and Europe.

After an accidental appearance in a feature film as a background actor in 1989, Cressend quit the music business and reoriented his path. In 1991, he focused on the art department and joined his first team, led by Italian designer Ezio Frigerio and soon-to-be production designer Olivier Raoux  (“La Vie en Rose”). From driver, buyer, propmaster, set decorator, art director and supervising art director for French and international movies (shooting mainly in France and collaborating with some of the best international designers, he stepped up to art director in 2015.

His recent credits include “Asteroid City,” “The Wannabes,” “The Last Duel,“ “The French Dispatch,” “Ford v Ferrari,” “Dunkirk” and “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2.”

GREGORY PLOTKIN’s (Editor) editing of Jordan Peele’s Oscar-winning smash “Get Out” garnered Plotkin Best Editing nominations from more than 10 national critics and awards groups, including American Cinema Editors and Independent Spirit Awards.

Plotkin has also sat in the director’s chair on multiple occasions, having helmed 2020’s “Crimson,” 2018’s “Hell Fest” (which he also edited), the 2016 short “Black Mass” and the 2015 chapter in the successful horror series “Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension.” He has also served as executive producer on “Countdown” and “Nightlight,” and co-producer (as well as editor) on several entries in the “Paranormal Activity” franchise, as well as co-producer on “Area 51.”

AGNÈS BÉZIERS (Costume Designer) has been honing her art and furthering her passion for design for more than two decades. Coming originally from the world of fashion, she studied at the prestigious ESMOD School, where she majored in stage costume. This training would give her both structure as well as an openness to multiple cultures and disciplines. Then, at the beginning of 2000, she met director Thomas Bary, for whom she created a gallery of imaginative offbeat characters for the film “Les Enfants de Timpelbach.”

Combining epochs and style in her own way, Béziers brings a very personal signature to her craft. Armed with a vision, she is fascinated by the whole cinematographic spectrum of each of her projects. Agnès handles fabric like a language. She composes a “grammar of clothing” inspired by the narrative arc and the personalities of the characters, and creates costumes sketches with fabric samples. She then paints the extras while defining the visual palette of the film.

Béziers pilots her vision precisely and consistently to mark and bring substance to the evolution of the narrative. By establishing a close collaboration with the director, she enriches the visual identity of the entire film by sharing an artistic direction of her own. Agnès Béziers’ devotion to her calling is reflected in cinematographic works of all genres—from the thriller “La Traque d’Antoine Blossier” and independent film “Qu’un Sang Impur” by Abdel Raouf Dafri, to the adaptation of comic strip “Le Petit Spirou” by Nicolas Bary; the literary novel “Rémy sans Famille,” war film “L’Ordre et la Morale” by Mathieu Kassovitz and the sci-fi “Oxygen” by Alexandre Aja, to the creation of character design for video grames (Ubisof), as well as the television series based on these characters.

Her commitment to cinema is reflected through her long-lasting relationships with the outstanding directors of her career; Nicolas Bary and his poetic imagination; Mathieu Kassovitz and his narrative force; Antoine Blossier and his masterful realization of varied genres; Abdel Raouf Dafri with his determined and concise scriptwriting; as well as Alexander Aja and his unique, personal mastery of the horror genre and films.

MARCO BELTRAMI (Composer) received Academy Award nominations for his iconic scores to “3:10 to Yuma” and “The Hurt Locker.” He has lent his voice to such unique hit films as “Live Free or Die Hard,” “Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines,” “I, Robot” and the “Scream” series. The prolific Beltrami has composed scores for an impressive array of projects crossing genres and mediums that includes: “Renfield,” starring Nicolas Cage and Nicholas Hoult; the action adventure “Plane,” starring Gerard Butler; the latest entries in the long-running “Scream” franchise; the Ben Affleck-starrer “Deep Water”; David E. Kelley’s “Nine Perfect Strangers”; the mystery thriller “No Exit”; the Andy Serkis-directed smash “Venom: Let There Be Carnage,” starring Tom Hardy; the “Fear Street” trilogy for Netflix; the hit “A Quiet Place” and its sequel, both directed by John Krasinski and starring Emily Blunt; James Mangold’s “Ford v Ferrari,” starring Matt Damon and Christian Bale; and André Øvredal’s “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark.”

His other scores include “The Snowman,” starring Michael Fassbender; “The Shallows,” starring Jack Huston and Blake Lively; “The Homesman,” directed by Tommy Lee Jones; the zombie comedy “Warm Bodies” for Summit Entertainment; the latest installment of the Bruce Willis action series “A Good Day to Die Hard”; “Snowpiercer,” starring Chris Evans and directed by Bong Joon Ho; the Brad Pitt action thriller “World War Z”; and James Mangold’s “The Wolverine” and smash follow-up “Logan,” starring Hugh Jackman. Up next for Beltrami is John Woo’s “Silent Night” and Len Wiseman’s “Ballerina.” Born in New York, Beltrami studied music at the Yale School of Music, then in Italy, before apprenticing with legendary composer Jerry Goldsmith in L.A.
