Hugo Ludik, founder of the group ADAM, finally tied the knot with his beautiful Danieka on April 16th during a glamorous ceremony for close family and friends. It was during this romantic event that Hugo surprised his bride with a special song that he had written for her, Pa Se Hand.
The group had decided not to perform the track live and Danieka heard the song for the first time as the bridal couple were opening the dance floor. Although they have chosen another opening song, they have not rehearsed any dance routines as Danieka is not too fond of dancing. Hugo replaced their original track with Pa Se Hand which came as a big surprise to her. It was a very special and emotional moment for them. Hugo’s Mom, Susan Ludik, had the lyrics printed on serviettes which was handed to guests as a gift.
“She didn’t suspect anything! We were both overwhelmed by emotions and everything turned out to be so beautiful. She just loves the song and have already listened to it a few hundred times,” Hugo jokes.
“Pa se hand originally started as main piano score that I have had for a while. I’ve been playing it for more than a year and always thought I’d eventually write a song with it,” says Hugo.
“We got the idea to write a song about that final moment at the altar. The moment you wait for your bride to walk down the aisle. It’s the symbol of most weddings: Her dad “gives” his daughter to her husband. It’s her “final walk” before they become one as husband and wife, together forever. The lyrics explains what I feel in my heart as I wait for my bride to walk down the aisle.” explains Hugo.
ADAM (Hugo Ludik, Kyle Grant and Christoff de Beer)’s brand new single comes after their massive success with their previous single, Liefde Is, that’s still playing on radio stations across the country.
