It has been a week since Cindy-Louise’s latest single, RISE UP, hit radio stations across the country and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. Now she is back in the spotlight with the release of a captivating music video to complement this amazing track.
According to the talented local singer-songwriter, who currently resides in the Netherlands, the video was directed by Antonia Ackermans from Manda Productions and was filmed with an abstract approach and special camera techniques to complement the strong message conveyed in the song.
“My latest single is the perfect fusion between soft rock, pop and classical music and is something completely different from what I usually write. It is a kind of rising from the ashes story and has an uplifting sound that is guaranteed to make listeners smile,” she explains. “Antonia was just fantastic and truly exerted herself to ensure the video was conceptual and playful by combining old and new film techniques. The scenes are also very cool, and the colors used make for a visually pleasing scene.”
RISE UP follows hot on the heels of her previous single, Femme Fatale, which was extremely well received and has already been streamed more than 22 000 times on Spotify alone. The music video has also had nearly 55 000 hits on YouTube.
Cindy-Louise made her debut in 2019. In addition to a few popular singles (Make It Out Here Alive, The Mask), she also recently released her first album, Humanity in 2021.
She still has a lot of exciting plans for the future that include releasing new music that incorporate a different mix of genres.

Cindy-Louise Is Terug In Die Kollig Met Die Vrystelling Van ‘n Aangrypende Musiekvideo Vir Haar Nuutste Enkelsnit “Rise Up”
Dit is skaars ’n week sedert Cindy-Louise se jongste enkelsnit, RISE UP, plaaslike radiostasies getref het en die terugvoer was sover ongelooflik positief. Nóú is sy terug in die kollig met die vrystelling van ’n aangrypende musiekvideo om hierdie treffer te komplementeer.
Volgens die talentvolle plaaslike sanger en liedjieskrywer, wat tans in Nederland woon, was Manda Productions se Antonia Ackermans aan die stuur van die video en is ’n abstrakte konsep en spesiale kamerategnieke gebruik gemaak om die sterk boodskap van die liedjie te komplementeer.
“My nuutste enkelsnit is die perfekte kombinasie van sagte rock-, pop- en klassieke elemente en is baie anders as die materiaal wat ek gewoonlik skryf. Dit is die tipe storie waarin ek opstaan vir myself en wegbreek van ander mense se verwagtinge af, sodat ek vorentoe kan beweeg,” verduidelik sy. “Antonia was fantasties en het uit haar pad uit gegaan om te verseker dat die video speels is en aan die konsep voldoen, deur gebruik te maak van ou- en nuwe rolprenttegnieke. Sy het ook gebruik gemaak van verskillende kleure om elke toneel sag op die oog te maak.”
RISE UP volg kort op die hakke van haar vorige enkelsnit, Femme Fatale, wat baie goed ontvang is en net op Spotify meer as 22 000 keer gestroom is. Die musiekvideo is ook reeds deur meer as 55 000 mense op YouTube gekyk.
