FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM is the new film from superstar author J.K. Rowling and it stars Oscar-winner Eddie Redmayne in the leading role. This is the first movie-release for a new series of titles over the next few years, and is not a prequel or any form of sequel for the HARRY POTTER-movies. It is however set in the world of wizardry, years before Potter was even born.

The 4DX multi-sensory experience includes moving seats, wind, water, smells and other special effects to bring you as close as possible to experiencing the Fantastic Beasts-action. The films screened in 4DX are projected in Digital 3D on a silver curved wall-to-wall screen. Its audio system has been upgraded to a Dolby CP750 with 7.1 full surround sound. The Barco projector used in the cinema also uses an upgraded lamp for brighter picture.

The Scene Xtreme screenings will project the film on Super Large Format-screens with RealD Precision White Screen-technology; ensuring super-crisp, super high resolution digital 3D images that are also brighter when compared to standard 3D screens.

Scene Xtreme at Menlyn and The Glen will feature a full Dolby 7.1 soundtrack for FANTASTIC BEASTS. Clearwater’s Xtreme will showcase a Dolby Atmos soundtrack for the movie – one of only two cinemas in South Africa equipped with this advanced, top-of-the-range, multi-channel sound system (including overhead speakers). You will hear sounds and be immersed in the movie like no other cinema can do!

FANTASTIC BEATS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM will also release at all other standard Nu Metro cinemas nationwide.

fantastic-beasts-posterJ.K Rowling invites you to a new era of the wizarding world… In 1926, Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident, were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.

This highly anticipated new fantasy adventure promises to entice moviegoers with its powerful script, packed with suspense and memorable moments of pure cinematic magic. It casts a spell of movie fun and enjoyment that promises to please Harry Potter-fans and everyone who’s looking for an onscreen escape from reality – filled with spectacular special effects to match.

David Yates, best known for his work on some of the final Harry Potter-films, is the director of FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM; with music by the acclaimed James Newton-Howard. Apart from Redmayne, some of the other acting talents gracing the Big Screen for this piece of cinema magic include Colin Farrell, Ezra Miller, Jon Voight, Ron Perlman, Gemma Chan, Katherine Waterston, Samantha Morton and Carmen Ejogo.
