Movie Firearms Course, Cape Town – Mil.Spec.

A Movie Firearms Training Day for those working in the film industry actors, extras, stunts – those who need an Introduction to Weapons – Revolver, Semi-Auto Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, Assault Rifles – and their safe use on a movie set. Introducing participants to safe movement in-scene with weapons, and some action with Assault Rifles. We allow 10 participants per course.

A certificate will be issued to you at the end of the day – this certifies that you have attended an introduction course to a variety of weapons from a SAPS Certified Movie Armoury Company that is recognised by Production Companies. Lance Peters who runs these courses with his armourers, has been involved in the industry for 25 years and is Ex British Army.

Our Goal is:

To try and make the film industry safer. It is a legal requirement from The South African Police Service (SAPS) that film industry actors / stunts / extras have received adequate training on the weapon they will be using in the scene, before they are in the scene.

Further, we wish to create an opportunity for industry professionals to acquire this additional skill, and thereby gaining more opportunities when productions have action scenes requiring cast / stunts with previous weapons training and safety.
