Wednesday Returns…and She’s Not Alone
Part 1 Premiere Date: August 6, 2025
Part 2 Premiere Date: September 3, 2025
Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega), returns to prowl the Gothic halls of Nevermore Academy, where fresh foes and woes await. This season, Wednesday must navigate family, friends and old adversaries, propelling her into another year of delightfully dark and kooky mayhem. Armed with her signature razor-sharp wit and deadpan charm, Wednesday is also plunged into a new bone-chilling supernatural mystery. Creator/showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar return for the spine-tingling second season of WEDNESDAY, alongside executive producer and director Tim Burton.
New Characters This Season
Steve Buscemi (he/him) plays Principal Dort, the ambitious new head of Nevermore Academy. The polar opposite of his late predecessor, Larissa Weems, Dort embraces outcast pride to the extreme — advocating for normie exclusion in his mission to “save” Nevermore.
Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nayo (they/them) plays Sheriff Ritchie Santiago, the newly appointed Jericho sheriff who has stepped in to replace the disgraced Donovan Galpin. Eager to prove herself, Santiago is
sharp, determined, and unafraid to enlist the help of Wednesday Addams when the bodies begin to pile up.
Christopher Lloyd (he/him) plays Professor Orloff, Nevermore’s longest-serving teacher. A stern disciplinarian, Orloff prowls the school hallways, always on the lookout for troublemakers. It doesn’t take long for new student Pugsley Addams to end up on his radar.
Joanna Lumley (she/her) plays Grandmama Hester Frump, Morticia’s formidable mother and the fabulously wealthy mogul behind Frump Mortuaries — one of the most successful outcast-owned businesses in the country. Immaculately coiffed, emotionally cold, and armed with a razor-sharp tongue, Hester is calculated in everything she does, from running her empire to managing her family’s legacy.
Heather Matarazzo (she/her/they/them) plays Judi, Dr. Fairburn’s overly chipper and sycophantic executive assistant at Willow Hill. Judi’s cheeriness quickly evaporates when she crosses paths with
Wednesday Addams, for whom she develops an instant dislike.
Thandiwe Newton (she/her) plays Dr. Rachael Fairburn, the chief psychiatrist at Willow Hill Psychiatric Facility. Killer Hyde Tyler Galpin is incarcerated at Willow Hill and Fairburn leads his care team. Though a normie, Fairburn is considered a trailblazer in the emerging field of outcast mental health.
Owen Painter (he/him) plays Slurp, a zombie accidentally reanimated by Pugsley Addams. At first, Pugsley treats Slurp like a stray puppy, but it soon becomes clear that this undead companion has a bite far worse than his bark.
Billie Piper (she/her) plays Isadora Capri, Nevermore’s new head of music and a former child prodigy. Brilliant, intense, and enigmatic, she takes a special interest in Wednesday’s musical gifts and becomes a mentor to fellow werewolf Enid Sinclair.
Noah B. Taylor (he/him) plays Bruno, the newest member of the wolf pack. With roots in the Philippines and a brooding intensity, Bruno has grown especially close to Enid during the summer break.
Evie Templeton (she/her) plays Agnes DeMille, a young outcast at Nevermore who is completely starstruck by Wednesday, idolizing her hero for saving the school from the malevolent Pilgrim Joseph Crackstone.
