Capitec Supports the Fans and Creative Heartbeat of Comic Con Cape Town

Comic Con Cape Town is set to deliver an enhanced festival experience with Capitec in 2026, alongside Capitec meaningfully supporting the creative communities that define the event. Capitec will touch each element of the fan journey, ensuring that every element of the Con -from buying a ticket to exploring the show floor – is simpler, smoother, and more rewarding.

A highlight of the partnership is the Capitec Super Fan Pass, with only 100 passes available exclusively to Capitec clients. The pass includes two event badges, VIP parking, fast-track entry, early access to the Con floor, 50% off one celebrity photo op, and access to the Capitec Super Fan Viewing Zone. On standard Comic Con tickets, Capitec clients can claim a 20% discount, along with special partner deals and discounts at select vendors across the show floor for all fans. Fans will also have access to limited edition Capitec merch. The excitement extends to the Con floor where all fans can participate in an exciting activation unlike anything brought to the festival before.

Beyond enhancing the fan experience, the partnership also reflects Capitec’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurship and creativity. Independent artists, crafters, and small businesses form a vital part of Comic Con’s ecosystem, showcasing their original work and connecting with fans at the festival. Capitec exhibitors receive reduced rates as well as access to Capitec’s business tools and support on site during the festival. This focus on small business aligns closely with the spirit of Comic Con Cape Town, where creativity, innovation, and independent creators are at the heart of the festival experience.

Says Comic Con Show Director Carla Massmann, “By enhancing the fan experience while also supporting the small businesses, artists and creators who make Comic Con Cape Town so special, Capitec is helping us deliver a richer and more rewarding festival for the fans who walk through the doors of Comic Con Cape Town.”

Says Asha Patel, Capitec Head of Brand and Communications, “Comic Con Cape Town is a powerful expression of what happens when people come together around what they genuinely love, whether that’s gaming, art, storytelling or Cosplay. That sense of passion, community and inclusivity resonates deeply with us at Capitec. Our role is to make the experience simpler, more accessible and more rewarding, not only for the fans attending, but also for the creators and small businesses who bring it to life. If we can enable more of our clients to be part of it, and help them unlock even more value from the experience, then we’re doing what matters most.”

Comic Con Cape Town 2026 takes place from 30 April to 3 May at the CTICC 2, to be attended by an estimated 36,000 fans.
