The Structure

Each weekday broadcast of science, technology, culture, arts, history, medical and business from Africa and the world features an exciting combination of new presenter-driven content aimed at three specific age-group categories throughout the day, interspersed with mind-blowing international documentary content sourced from world TV distribution leaders Deutsche Welle and Off The Fence.

The Break Down

CHANNEL ED aims to challenge and excite audiences with a new viewing pattern – a pattern both pioneering and unique. Age-specific content is seamlessly woven into each daily broadcast, specially-designed to speak to a specific viewer.

CHANNEL ED offers 6 hours of new content divided into 3 groups:

  • S (small – ages 15-18)
  • M (medium – ages 18-25)
  • L (large – ages 25-49)

The six hours of new content a day comprises:

16:00 – 17:00ED hour – content aimed at adults (L).
17:00 – 18:00    Global content
18:00 – 19:00   ED hour – content aimed at 15-18 year olds (S)
19:00 – 20:00    Global content
20:00 – 21:00    ED hour – content aimed at 18 – 25 year olds (M)
21:00 – 22:00    Global content
