Robosapien: Rebooted (DVD): Review

The Film

A touching film, for the younger generation, about a robot and a human boy. These two team up, when circumstances bring them together, when they are forced to rescue their respective parents from the head of a organisation who is intent on using the robot technology for destruction.

Robosapien: Rebooted is definitely aimed at the younger generation, and this means that although it is a story about someone leading an big organisation, for evil purposes, there is by no means any content that is not suitable for children.

Robosapien (Cody) helps young Bobby overcome bullying at school, and helps him interact with the girls. Bobby, in turn, helps Cody by repairing him, as this unlikely team learn from each other, and overcome their shortcomings.

There is a catchy soundtrack that is bound to have children singing, if not dancing, and some really impressive visual effects, in this story.

Disc And Bonus Features

The disc is encoded at a high bitrate, allowing for scaling to a higher resolution, should you wish. Sound is also 5.1, and makes great use of these channels, including the films upbeat soundtrack, which is sure to get you tapping your foot, at the very least.

There are sadly no bonus features on the disc.

Robosapien: Rebooted. A children’s movie that is going to have many a young one adding ‘robot’ to their Christmas list. It is available for purchase on disc in South Africa now.
