Paramount Pictures released the trailer for the Vin Diesel action film, “XXX: RETURN OF XANDER CAGE” on Facebook Live and reached an unprecedented 100MM views across multiple platforms in two days. The film’s trailer will be in theaters this weekend on Marvel’s “Dr. Strange”.
Diesel hosted the exclusive FB Live trailer launch for the film live from the Paramount Pictures’ studio lot, with the cast of the movie dropping into his live stream from around the globe, including Ruby Rose in New Zealand, Donnie Yen in Hong Kong, Nina Dobrev and Michael Bisping in Los Angeles, Nicky Jam in Miami, Ariadna Gutierrez in Columbia, and Tony Jaa in Asia. They were joined by cast members Kris Wu, Deepika Padukone and Neymar, who shared the trailer via their FB, Weibo, Instagram, and Twitter pages.
Sunday kicked off the film’s Facebook engagement with exclusive teases launched via the casts own handles to their global fan bases. Exclusive character posters were launched on Monday, which heightened anticipation leading into Tuesday’s live digital online event.
The third explosive chapter of the blockbuster franchise that redefined the spy thriller finds extreme athlete turned government operative Xander Cage (Vin Diesel) coming out of self-imposed exile and on a collision course with deadly alpha warrior Xiang and his team in a race to recover a sinister and seemingly unstoppable weapon known as Pandora’s Box. Recruiting an all-new group of thrill-seeking cohorts, Xander finds himself enmeshed in a deadly conspiracy that points to collusion at the highest levels of world governments.
