Survivor SA: Philippines | And Then There Were Ten… And So Much Tension And Confusion

Is the long-awaited Survivor SA: Philippines Tribal Merge on the cards for the remaining castaways this week?

After Josie’s charmed torch was finally snuffed at her 6th Tribal Council last week, the once mighty Mindanao was left with two members only – Tony and PK. In the words of a frustrated Tony, they were now “a couple” and not a tribe, comparing them to Visayas and Luzon with their four members each.

Will Toni’s frustration spark enough energy to fight back – and if so, will PK play along? If the long-awaited Merge isn’t on the horizon soon, what will their chances be to survive? Will they be picked off one at a time, or can they devise a new plan that will derail the existing strategies in the other tribes or extinguish the “blue blood” bond of the original Mindanao members who left to join Luzon and Visayas during the tribal shuffles?

At Visayas, new rifts seem to form as soon as old ones have been healed – or at least papered over. Tom appears to be living on borrowed time with Chané cozying up to Vusi and Palesa after he again alienated her last week with the way he lip-smacked and finger-licked his way through the Chocolate Reward.

Thanks to Chané and Annalize’s chat as they sat out last week’s Tribal Immunity Challenge, the Luzon’s Annalize now knows that Tom doesn’t have an Immunity Idol anymore – but that Palesa does. Will that change her plan of continually buttering up Werner, who is sitting pretty with two Immunity Idols of his own? While Jeanne is talking to the other ladies in the tribe about protecting Werner through Merge, she should probably be paying a bit more attention to her own situation.

It’s been a season of twists, turns, shocks, surprises and blindsides – and we’re not even halfway! Tune in to Survivor SA: Philippines this Thursday at 19:00 on M-Net 101 to see if ‘blue blood’ really is thicker than water.
