Monate Mpolaye producer, two-time SAMA Nominee, Junior Taurus, teams up with talented vocalist, Sino Msolo, on the new single ‘Top7’ available on all digital platforms today. The beautifully melodic amapiano song delivers beautiful affirmations and confirmations of love. The single is playfully based on the childhood game ‘Top 7’ (Top Top Top 7) and set to add new memories to listener’s nostalgia.
Junior Taurus has produced many hits for South African artists, taking house music, most recently Amapiano, to unimaginable heights. He recently dropped a full body of work titled “Back to love” featuring Kaylow and now returns with a musical Amapinao smash hit ‘Top 7’.
When asked about the Top 7 ‘Junior said: “The whole idea around the track is confirmation and affirmation. Many of us in relationships sometimes get to a point where we need those feelings to be re-affirmed. It is about the assurance that your position still holds some ground and that the person still sees you in the same way. The single plays of a childhood game that most of us use to play called ‘Top 7’.”
The Single was one of 3 songs that Junior recorded with Sino but ‘Top 7’ Just made sense. “Personally, Top 7 had touched me because it is something we have all gone through. We all get jealous sometimes and need our partners to reaffirm their loves,” says Junior.
On working with Sino Msolo, Junior said: “Sino is someone I always wanted to work with. Many vocalists necessarily do not get it right, but Sino got it right! He used all the words I could not find and made it sound magical”
When asked what Junior wants lovers to take from ‘Top 7’ he said: Have no doubt at all, you are still my top 7, regardless of the challenges, you are still the one.
