Robot Chicken is back, now starring Joe Exotic
Season 11 of Adult Swim’s off-the-wall, stop-motion comedy series Robot Chicken is now streaming on Showmax, with the first five episodes available to binge now and new episodes coming Tuesdays to Fridays until 24 September 2021.
In Season 11, no corner of pop culture is safe from Robot Chicken’s satirical gaze, from Joe Exotic to Peppa Pig. As always, expect insanity and absurdity: think Larry David joining The Avengersand quickly curbing their enthusiasm (watch) or Midsommar reimagined with Sylvanians (watch). The Nerd and fan-favourite Bitch Pudding are also back, along with a spooky Halloween-themed episode.
Created andexecutive produced by Seth Green and Matthew Senreich, Robot Chicken has won six Emmys since debuting in 2005; its 200th episode, Endgame, was nominated again for Outstanding Short Form Animated Program at last weekend’s Creative Arts Emmys.

Primal wins Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program
While Robot Chicken didn’t win this time, another Adult Swim favourite on Showmax did: Primal took home Outstanding Animated Program for Plague of Madness, beating the likes of Big Mouth, Bob’s Burgers, The Simpsons and South Park. Storyboard artist David Krentz also received an Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation Emmy for his work on Primal.
From Genndy Tartakovsky (Samurai Jack, Hotel Transylvania), Primal follows a caveman at the dawn of evolution and a dinosaur on the brink of extinction. The two creatures, one on the way out and one on the way in, become each other’s only hope of survival in a treacherous world.
The two Emmys are just the latest in a string of accolades for the show, including three Outstanding Achievement In Animation Awards at the 2020 Emmys, for storyboard artist Genndy Tartakovsky, art director Scott Wills, and character designer Stephen DeStefano; as well as Best General Audience Animated Productionand Best Directing at the 2021 Annie Awards. Primal is also currently nominated at the 2021 Saturn Awards for Best Animated Series On Television by The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films.

Rick and Morty S5 now available to binge
