Fight bill released for fifth event in Johannesburg announced
ESPN Africa Boxing events are broadcast live on ESPN across Africa and Latin America, as well as on SABC Sport Channel and TKO magazine show
The ESPN Africa Boxing tournament continues this month with the seventeenth instalment of the popular event taking place in Johannesburg, South Africa on Thursday 26 May 2022 from 19:00 (CAT). Ahead of the event, the fight card, which features two title fights, has been announced.
The main event will see recently crowned SA Junior Lightweight Champion, Sibusiso Zingange, make his first defence against Lunga Sitemela. The co-main event of the evening will feature Sharedine Fortuin and Malawi’s Ellen Simwaka competing in a 10-round fight, for the IBF Africa Bantamweight Championship title.
