Director Alexander Yellen’s zombie work experience as cinematographer on Z Nation, are evident in the film visuals, at times giving the feeling of starkness, and the futility that may come as the undead walk the streets.
The cast evoke genuine emotions, as the story asks the viewer to ponder the “what-if”.
Basis begs sympathy from the viewer, Grubba’s lengthy list of credits are testimony to the her multi-layered character that bring a chill, and Forrest leaves on pondering the motives of Jacob.
Dead End Drive is one of those shorts that stands above the crowd, bringing together talent and professionalism to create an engrossing short story, garner thought and discussion, together with the enjoyment of the medium of film.
