After hundreds of entries and much anticipation, the top 10 finalists of the brand-new version of Huisgenoot’s iconic Miss Teen 2024 competition have finally been announced!
The 10 girls who will compete for this coveted title and have already received two bottles of perfume oil, a notebook and a carry bag from Tapputi Egyptian Perfume Oils are: Amy-Leigh Shirley, Ané Lamprecht, Carli Oosthuizen, Danielle Joubert, Hildegard Havenga, Jackie de Klerk, Lily Mtsweni, Mareli Jordaan, Telisa van Heerden and Tiara van Wyk.

This year, Huisgenoot decided to revive this popular competition, which began in 1962, in an effort to reach a brand-new generation of readers, aged between 13 and 18, and has been very impressed with the creative entries they have received.
“There were so many beautiful and talented girls who entered that it was difficult to choose a top 10, but we believe that each of the finalists brings something unique to the table and we look forward to seeing who will walk away with the title,” says Huisgenoot’s editor, Yvonne Beyers.
The public can vote for their favourite via the hub at projekte.netwerk24.com/mej-tiener-stem-2024 where the top 10’s videos and photos will appear. Beneath each name, there is a form that must be completed to vote.
In addition to the title, the winner will also receive a few great prizes:
- A holiday for her and her family in Mauritius, sponsored by World Leisure Holidays.
- Her story will also be published in Huisgenoot, with her insert photo on the cover. The article will also appear on huisgenoot.com and will be shared on Huisgenoot’s social media.
- Miss Teen will feature as a model on Huisgenoot’s fashion pages and be a guest presenter on a program on the VIA television channel.
- A prize package from Tapputi Egyptian Perfume Oils including five bottles of perfume oil, notebooks, and bags. She may also be invited to appear as a model in marketing material for this brand.
- R10,000 in cash.
Voting ends on 2 May 2024, so friends and family should hurry to ensure that their vote counts.
