Londie London on The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip – South Africa

“I was shocked at the things that were revealed”

The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip – South Africa is now streaming on Showmax, with new episodes every Monday for the next eight weeks. The Showmax Original features eight of South Africa’s most memorable and iconic Housewives from five franchises: Beverly Steyn (The Real Housewives of Cape Town S1); Christall Kay (The Real Housewives of Johannesburg S1-2); LaConco (The Real Housewives of Durban S1-2); Lethabo Lejoy Mathatho (The Real Housewives of Johannesburg S2-3); Liz Prins (The Real Housewives of Gqeberha S1); Londie London (The Real Housewives of Durban S2); Melany Viljoen (The Real Housewives of Pretoria S1); and Nonku Williams (The Real Housewives of Durban S1-4,).

In her first sit-down interview since wrapping the show, Londie London shares why she decided to come back to reality television, her experience as an all-star Housewife, and the tea that happened while filming.

What made you come back to reality TV?

I feel like once you have been in the reality TV space, it is something you can’t get away from. I also came back because I love this concept that highlights the leading ladies of the Housewives franchise and I wanted to be a part of it.

What will you bring to The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip – South Africa that is different from your time on The Real Housewives of Durban?

I feel like people are going to see a different side of me apart from being a housewife and a mom. On The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip – South Africa, I am on a girls’ trip and you know anything goes. Audiences are going to see me having fun and bonding with the ladies.

Over the years, a lot has been said about your private life. Are you going to address any of those topics on the show?

You know the ladies love to poke, so definitely, there will be a lot of things that will be addressed. That is the point of being on the show: you get to tell your story and clear a few things in your own words.

Going into the show, were you nervous about anything or anyone?

I was not nervous about anything or anyone because I do not have anything to hide. Obviously, there are some things I would prefer not to talk about but at the end of the day, I own my story as it is.

What are some of those things that you do not like talking about?

I do not like talking about exes, I don’t like talking about failed relationships, and I don’t like talking about other people. But if I have to address something that is about me, I will speak on it.

Who or what surprised you the most about being on the show?

I was so surprised by the blondes. They had so much drama. There was always something brewing. More than anything, I was shocked at the things that were revealed. I was also pleasantly surprised with Christall. She and I grew close during filming and I enjoyed spending time with her; she is very cool.

Did you leave Jamaica in a good place with everyone?

No, when I left the island, I had some unresolved issues with Nonku. It left a bitter taste in my mouth. I did not want it to get that far because I understand that this is a show but I wish it could have ended differently. It was not nice. I was disappointed in her because I did not expect her to poke as hard as she did; she just kept getting into my personal business.

Why should people watch The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip – South Africa?

People should watch Ultimate Girls Trip because it has eight ladies with very big personalities who are far from home so obviously there will be drama and frustrations, but there is also a sisterhood that viewers will love to see. It is a fun show and audiences will get to see us outside of our elements as Housewives.
