Pietro Scalia, ACE, is a film editor best known for JFK (Oscar, BAFTA wins), GOOD WILL HUNTING (Oscar nom), GLADIATOR (Oscar nom, BAFTA win), BLACK HAWK DOWN (Oscar win, BAFTA nom), AMERICAN GANGSTER (BAFTA nom), KICK-ASS, THE MARTIAN (BAFTA nom), and FERRARI, among many others.

Joe Hutshing, ACE, was born in Los Angeles and raised in San Diego. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Fine and Applied Art from the University of Oregon. He began his editing career by volunteering as an editor on student films at the American Film Institute. Within a few years he was working as an assistant editor on Oliver Stone’s 1987 WALL STREET, and was promoted to Additional Editor, working alongside Claire Simpson and David Brenner, which earned Michael Douglas an Oscar for Best Actor. Hutshing co-edited Stone’s next next three films with Brenner: TALK RADIO, BORN ON THE FOURTH OF JULY and THE DOORS. Hutshing and Brenner both won Oscars for Best Editing on BORN ON THE FOURTH OF JULY, as well as an ACE Eddie nomination. On Stone’s next film, JFK, Hutshing won his second Oscar for Best Editing, along with Pietro Scalia. They also won the BAFTA Award for Best Editing, as well as the ACE Eddie. After that, Hutshing edited films for Adrian Lyne, Curtis Hanson, Lawrence Kasdan and John Woo. He earned his third Academy Award Best Editing nomination for Cameron Crowe’s JERRY MAGUIRE, as well as an ACE nomination for Best Editing. Spike Jonze asked Hutshing to be an additional editor on his first feature film, BEING JOHN MALKOVICH, which turned into an indie classic and launched both Jonze and writer Charlie Kaufman’s careers. This was followed by Cameron Crowe’s ALMOST FAMOUS, which earned Hutshing his fourth Academy Award nomination for Best Editing and his second ACE Eddie award for Best Editing. He then edited Mick Jackson’s LIVE FROM BAGHDAD, for which he earned Emmy Award for Best Editing, an Eddie nomination for Best Editing, as well as a Best Director Emmy for Jackson. From there he went on to edit three classic Nancy Meyers romantic comedies: SOMETHING’S GOTTA GIVETHE HOLIDAY and IT’S COMPLICATED, which earned him his fifth ACE Eddie nomination. Hutshing retired in 2019 and lives in Ojai, California.

Hank Corwin, ACE, is a film editor best known for NATURAL BORN KILLERS, THE NEW WORLD, THE TREE OF LIFE, THE BIG SHORT (Oscar nom), VICE (Oscar nom), and DON’T LOOK UP (Oscar nom), among many others.
