Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Dutton-verse’ continues to expand on M-Net this month with Yellowstone spin-off Y: Marshals, starring Luke Grimes, from Tuesday 21 April at 21:00, having drawn 9.52 million viewers for its premiere on 1 March on CBS in the US – making it the most-watched new series premiere of the 2025-26 US broadcast season and eclipsing the high mark set by season 5 of Yellowstone on Paramount, which drew 8.8 million viewers.
With the Yellowstone Ranch behind him, Kayce Dutton (Grimes) joins an elite unit of U.S. Marshals in Y: Marshals, combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana. Kayce and his teammates – Pete Calvin (Logan Marshall-Green; And Just Like That…), Belle Skinner (Arielle Kebbel; Ballers), Andrea Cruz (Ash Santos; Mayor of Kingstown), and Miles Kittle (Tatanka Means; Killers of the Flower Moon) – must balance the high psychological cost of serving as the last line of defence in the region’s war on violence, with their duty to their families.
Grimes is joined by Yellowstone alumni Gil Birmingham (Thomas Rainwater), Mo Brings Plenty (Mo) and Brecken Merrill (Tate Dutton), with Brett Cullen (Apollo 13) appearing in the recurring role of Harry Gifford, the head of the U.S. Marshals in Montana. The series is both a spin-off of and sequel to Yellowstone and is the fourth series in the franchise.
From laugh‑out‑loud suburban chaos and hidden secrets in The Burbs, to the emotional and political tension of The Agency, and the sweeping ambition and power plays of The Gilded Age, April brings a rich mix of genre and scale to M‑Net.
