Update from SA Film and TV Jobs Campaign

The Save SA Film and TV Jobs campaign have released an update regarding their interaction with DTIC, and the current state of their campaign. It is as follows:

We would like to provide a general update on the progress of the Save SA Film and TV Jobs Campaign.

The Coalition remains in ongoing negotiations and active engagement with the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (DTIC). To date, we have participated in several engagements, including meetings with the Deputy Minister, Mr Zuko Godlimpi.

The DTIC has begun engaging more directly with the industry, and as part of this process, a survey will be circulated shortly to gather data on challenges related to the rebate system. Your participation will be important in ensuring that the industry’s experiences and concerns are accurately represented.

We are pleased to report that the Coalition has made meaningful progress, albeit at a slower pace than anticipated. An updated report on developments will be shared within the next 4 weeks.

In the interim, we continue to work closely with a number of highly experienced industry stakeholders to develop sustainable solutions for the sector. We are optimistic that more definitive outcomes will be communicated in the coming weeks.

We thank you for your continued support and engagement.
