Comic Con Cape Town 2027 Moves to Larger Venue with Confirmed Dates
Comic Con Cape Town with Capitec has a major venue expansion for its 2027 edition, moving to the CTICC 1 to accommodate its continued growth and improve the overall fan experience.
The event will take place from 24 to 27 April 2027, returning to the Mother City with four days of pop culture, gaming, cosplay, and entertainment experiences. Capitec returns as headline sponsor for the second consecutive year, continuing its support of one of South Africa’s leading pop culture festivals.
Venue Expansion and Improved Fan Experience
In response to feedback from previous editions, particularly around venue navigation and multi-level hall layouts, Comic Con Cape Town 2027 will move to CTICC 1. The new venue allows the entire event to take place on a single floor, significantly improving accessibility, flow, and the overall visitor experience.
This move also enables the event to scale further, increasing capacity for fans, exhibitors, and experiential activations.
Key improvements include:
- A larger, unified exhibition space
- All halls located on a single level for easier navigation
- Increased capacity to welcome more attendees
- Expanded opportunities for exhibitors, activations, and fan experiences
