SA’s sovereign credit rating downgraded to junk status
Just days after President Jacob Zuma reshuffled his cabinet and fired Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan and his Deputy Mcebisi Jonas, international ratings agency Standard and Poor’s downgraded South Africa’s long-term currency sovereign credit rating to junk status.
