Eagle eyed fans were treated to a post-credits easter egg upon completion of The Witcher Season 2, as Netflix surprise dropped first look footage from prequel series The Witcher: Blood Origin – the highly anticipated next installment in The Witcher franchise – in the final episode’s end credits.
The teaser reveals the cast of the series in action for the first time, including Sophia Brown as Éile, Laurence O’Fuarain as Fjall, and Michelle Yeoh as Scían.
Netflix also released a selection of first look images to accompany the teaser, which can be downloaded here and are available on the Netflix Media Centre.
The Witcher: Blood Origin will premiere on Netflix in 2022.

Series Logline:
Set in an elven world 1200 years before the world of The Witcher: Blood Origin will tell a story lost to time – the creation of the first prototype Witcher, and the events that lead to the pivotal in “conjunction of the spheres,” when the worlds of monsters, men, and elves merged to become one.
Blood Origin will be a six part, live-action limited series, and a prequel to the hit Netflix series The Witcher.
Declan de Barra will act as Executive Producer and Showrunner, Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and Matt O’Toole act as Executive Producers.
Andrzej Sapkowski will serve as creative consultant on the series. Jason Brown and Sean Daniel from Hivemind, and Tomek Baginski and Jarek Sawko from Platige Films will all serve as executive producers.
