The Good Karma Hospital

The acclaimed drama returns for a fourth series and the tropical Indian hospital is as busy as ever. Dr Lydia Fonseca continues to juggle her demanding work with her personal problems as she confronts her complex past, while her future with Greg hangs in the balance when he is under threat of being deported. Meanwhile, Ruby is still reeling from Gabriel’s shock departure and her mental state leads to some rash decisions while she tries to find avenues to vent her fury. Two new doctors arrive at the hospital in the shape of charming British Asian doctor Dr Samir Hasan and Dr Niki Sharma, a young privileged Indian woman whose over-enthusiastic personality rubs some of her colleagues up the wrong way. There are some challenging cases ahead for the team of doctors, including an encounter with a sick girl suffering from a suspected case of the deadly Nipah virus. The young girl’s hospitalisation causes controversy and consternation amongst the community.
