The popular actor, entrepreneur, and author, Hykie Berg, is thrilled to announce that his brand-new book, GEROEP VIR MEER – OM SUKSESVOL TE LEWE, will be on the shelves from 27 September 2024.
This inspiring publication reveals what Berg – who was recently nominated for a Silwerskerm- and SAFTA award – has learned about success and how to achieve it over the past two decades.
It is part of his and his wife Gerridene’s vision to create 100 new millionaires in the next five years and reunite families by helping parents escape the rush of everyday life.
In the book, he shares profound insights into the principles of a successful and meaningful life. He wrote it for those ready to take a leap, walk in faith, and change the course of their lives.
“It’s for everyone who wants to regain hope and truly live successfully,” he says. “The book provides guidelines for people willing to take action, step out of their comfort zone, and face their fears.”
NB Publishers, the proud publishers of this remarkable work, adds: “We are very excited about Hykie’s third book and believe it will help many people move from an average to an exceptional life.”
According to Berg, writing the book was an intense experience: “It’s an indescribable feeling. You feel proud, but also a bit nervous because I hope it will change people’s lives and make an impact. It’s like opening night of a theatre production—you’re incredibly anxious, but at the same time, childishly excited.”
The chapter where he writes about his friend and fellow actor, Erik Holm, is definitely his favourite. “Even though Erik is in a wheelchair, he achieves more than 90% of the people I know. I’ve wanted to write about him for a long time. He’s not only a dear friend but one of the most interesting people I know. My hope is that this chapter will make people realize they are capable of much more than they think.”
Hykie currently lives in Johannesburg and, apart from his acting career, became well-known for taking part in Survivor Maldives – the phase of his life when he found his faith.
Since then, he has undertaken numerous successful projects and is today not only an award-winning actor and TV presenter but also an international speaker, a successful entrepreneur, and a bestselling author.
His previous books include My Storie van Hoop, Ultimate Survivor (the English translation of My Storie van Hoop), which won the Andrew Murray Desmond Tutu Prize, and My Stryd met ADHD – Die Onsigbare Oorlog. In these books he speaks unashamedly about his heroin addiction and mental health challenges over the past years.
He is also the ambassador of Creative Kidz, a school that provides remedial education and support to children with learning challenges.
With GEROEP VIR MEER – OM SUKSESVOL TE LEWE, Berg – who has never hesitated to speak openly about his challenging past in an effort to change others’ lives – reminds readers that they were born to achieve great things.
“People too easily settle for second best. You were created for greatness! No matter where you come from or who your parents are, this book will help you create and achieve a dream for your life,” he concludes.
Don’t miss the chance to transform your life with this powerful reading experience.
The book will officially be available from 27 September 2024. Get it online at: bit.ly/GeroepVirMeer or at selected bookstores across the country.
